Poemoscope Support
Something not working, a line that puzzles you, a poem you would like us to look at? Write to [email protected]. A real person reads every message and answers within a few days. Tell us what you saw, which device and browser you were using, and roughly when it happened. Please do not include anything private that you would not want in an email.
For questions about your data, write to [email protected] instead.
Frequently asked
The ball says it rests until tomorrow. Why?
The oracle answers a set number of questions a day for each visitor. Once you have used them, it rests and wakes again the next day. Where we offer it, you can watch a short ad to earn another question. Nothing is for sale here.
I asked the same question again and got the same line.
That is the oracle keeping its word. For one day, the same question from the same visitor gets the same answer. Ask it differently, or come back tomorrow, and the cards fall anew.
Where does the line come from? Can I read the whole poem?
Every line is a real line of poetry by a real poet, quoted as written. Under your line you will find the author's name and a link that opens the full poem on poemship.com, our poetry library. Nothing about your question travels with you to that page.
Do I need an account? Can I restore my lines?
No account, no sign-in, no password. The lines you keep are stored on your own device, in your browser or in the app, and nowhere else. If you clear your browser data or uninstall the app, they are gone, and there is nothing on our side to restore. Save or share the ones you want to keep.
Do you read my questions?
The oracle reads your question to find a line for it. Your question is not linked to your name, your account (there is none) or your address. Please do not write names, addresses or other details that identify you or someone else. The oracle does not need them. The full picture is in the Privacy Policy.
I am the author of a line, or I hold the rights. How do I ask for it to be removed?
Write to [email protected] with the line, the poem's title or its link, and a sentence about who you are. A plain email is enough. We reply within a few days and, once confirmed, stop quoting the poem or correct the credit.
The ads: what are they for?
The oracle is free. Ads, where we show them, keep it that way. You are never shown a rewarded ad without choosing it, and you can change your ad settings at any time through the consent settings on the site or in the app.
Why does the site not open where I am?
Poemoscope is not available in every country. If it does not answer where you are, that is why, and we are sorry.
Something broke
Tell us at [email protected]. A screenshot, the device and browser you used, and the time help us find it fast.
Where to read the rules
